One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a heavily-brushed stem bearing tulips and leaves extending around the shoulder area of the jar. Base chips. A small in-the-firing chip / contact mark to shoulder. A minuscule nick to interior of rim. Some faint lines to base area, extending a short distance onto underside, including a few which extend approximately 4 1/2" up base of jar.
