Scarce Small-Sized Rockingham-Glazed Toby Pitcher, Stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY CO. / JERSEY CITY, N.J.", circa 1833-1850, with spurred handle and spout in the form of a curley-haired man's face with tricorn hat, the surface covered in a streaky Rockingham glaze. Crisp, deeply-impressed American Pottery Co. maker's mark on underside. Reglued handle, colored at the joints. Minor rim chip. H 6".
