Celadon-Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar with Lid, Stamped "JOHN BELL," WAYNESBORO, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a streaky grayish-green glaze. Includes original glazed lid. Jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with an extremely minor, in-the-firing nick on underside. Lid with edge chips. H (including lid) 7 3/4".
