Fine Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Bird-on-Stump Decoration, Albany, NY origin, probably R. O'Connell Pottery, circa 1860, cylindrical jug with squared spout and applied handle, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird with turned head and heavily-feathered body, perched on a graduated, stylized stump.
