Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG", circa 1880, a cylindrical four-gallon crock and a two-gallon cream jar, both with stylized stenciled designs. Four-gallon crock with thin 7" inverted Y-shaped crack to front, a small rim chip with 5" diagonal crack from rim, one handle chip, and some fry to cobalt. Ovoid jar with numerous rim chips, a glazed-over iron ping to side of jar, exfoliation to side of jar, a Y-shaped line to front, and some fry to cobalt.
