Two-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG", PA origin, circa 1880, both of similar cylindrical form with diamond-shaped stenciled decorations and cobalt highlights to maker's marks and capacity marks. One in essentially as-made condition with a salt drip to reverse and a glazed-over base chip. The other with staining, in otherwise essentially as-made condition.
