Unusual Redware Dish with Slip Star and Foliate Decorations, probably Pennsylvania origin, circa 1850-1880, with coggled edge, the interior featuring a large eight-pointed star in yellow slip, along with five foliate sprigs in an orange-colored slip. Striking decoration. Two flakes and some typical surface abrasions to lead glaze on interior. Two rim chips. Diameter 9 1/4".
