Three Salt-Glazed Stoneware Vessels, Raeren or Aachen, Germany, late 15th or 16th century, two ovoid mugs and a jug, all with thumbed bases and distinctive pulled handles with ridged edges. Larger mug and jug with iron-oxide wash. Largest mug with shallow base chip and a minor glazed-over rim chip. Smaller mug with base chips, an adhered piece of clay to front, an in-the-firing chip to handle, and heavy chipping to rim. Jug in excellent condition with a smooth, in-the-firing contact mark to spout and two in-the-firing contact marks to side of handle. H 5 3/4".
