One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "LYONS", Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, ovoid-bodied pitcher with tall collar, nicely-tooled rim, and applied handle, the front decorated with a crescent-shaped foliate motif beside a freehand number 1. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Large loss to rim. Hairlines to underside, two of which continue 4 1/2" and 2 3/4" up body of pitcher. A small spout chip.
