Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with New York City Fruit Syrup Advertising, probably New York City origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jug with tall spout and applied handle, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "LESSER'S / Whites / & Fruit Syrup / 160 NORFOLK St / N.Y.". Decorated with a slip-trailed leaf design below. Excellent size and subject matter. A shallow chip to underside at edge. Shallow chips to spout, some of which are glazed over.
