One-Gallon Brooklyn, NY Stoneware Advertising Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Hudson River Pottery, Manhattan, NY, circa 1845, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded spout, and applied handle, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "SUTTON & HUESTS / 77 FULTON ST BROOKLYN" above a slip-trailed flower with spotted blossom. Three minor spout nicks and a short, faint line in spout. A 7/8" base chip and a second small base chip. Some short, faint lines at base, which are very minor, and appear to have occurred in the firing.
