Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Brooklyn, NY Advertising, probably New York City origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "A. COHEN / DEALER IN / CHINA GLASS & CROCKERY / 673 FULTON ST & / 231 COURT ST / BROOKLYN". An excellent example of New York City advertising. Some short, fairly innocuous lines from rim. A handle chip. A shallow flake and chip at base on side of crock.
