Two New York State Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, both of similar cylindrical form with flared rims, a one-gallon, unmarked example with cobalt leaf decoration, paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon example with spotted leaf motif, stamped "NEW YORK / STONE WARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.". One-gallon jar in excellent condition with a base chip. One-and-a-half-gallon jar with an in-the-firing base chip, heavy chipping to interior of rim, and staining to surface.
