Five-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "B.G. CHACE & CO / PROVIDENCE R I", attributed to F.B. Norton & Co., Worcester, MA, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with thick, semi-rounded spout and applied handle, the front decorated with large slip-trailed design of a parrot perched on the stem of a leaf. Excellent size to decoration and jug. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light fry to cobalt.
