Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Stenciled Tiger Decoration, Stamped "F.T. WRIGHT & SON, / STONE WARE / TAUNTON, MASS.", circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a crisply-stenciled design of a tiger's bust with circular border. Thin, approximately 5" vertical crack on right side of crock's front, continuing several inches onto underside. A thin 4" crack from rim on reverse. A small handle chip. A small rim chip with 1" line in it on side of crock. A few other minor rim nicks. A Y-shaped hairline on side of crock. Some light staining.
