Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, second half 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical jar, decorated with three flowers around the shoulder, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA; a one-gallon jug with cobalt-highlighted advertising, stamped "JOHN LYONS. / COR-BEACH & SOUTH STS / BOSTON", Northeastern U.S. origin; and a two-gallon jug with cobalt foliate decoration, stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD, / BURLINGTON, VT.". Jar in excellent condition with a minor rim chip and two tiny rim nicks. Boston jug in excellent condition with a minor spout nick. Ballard jug with metal lamp piece on spout and large spider crack from rim, which is partially filled and colored, as well as small spout chips.
