Unusual Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, possibly Huntington, Long Island, New York or Norwalk, CT origin, circa 1840, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with a jagged trail of yellow slip. Provenance: Collected in the Long Island, New York area. Two faint hairlines from edge, measuring 1 3/4" and 1 5/8". Rim chips. Two small surface flakes to interior. L 12 7/8".
