Fine Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, Huntington, Long Island, New York origin, circa 1807-1860, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with a large yellow slip cursive "L" with swag-accented ends. Excellent decoration, form, and color. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Two faint 2 1/2" lines from edge. Minor edge wear, including two small chips. A few spots of minor surface wear to interior. L 14 1/2".
