Unusual Brass Federal Eagle Stencil, American, 19th or early 20th century, depicting a flying Federal eagle with small shield across chest, clutching olive branches and arrows. Possibly used to decorate stoneware, although unconfirmable. Some blackish residue to the surface of the stencil appears to be paint. Some slight bends to stencil. Otherwise excellent condition. L 8 1/4".
