One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Adam Keister, Strasburg, VA, circa 1850, ovoid-bodied pitcher with narrow, flaring collar accented with tooled lines at the rim, the front decorated with a leafy stem bearing four tulips. Oval cobalt brushwork to collar. Restored handle. Restored spout chip. Application of restoration paint appears to be overzealous. Some very light exfoliation near base. Some fry to cobalt.
