Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va.," circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and tall collar with semi-squared rim, the front and reverse decorated with a brushed tulip applied over slip-washed clay. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a slump to one side of rim.
