Rare One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Sardis, Ohio Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "VETTER & HYER / SARDIS / OHIO" between freehand stripes, flanked by stenciled flowers. Excellent overall condition with a very faint 2" Y-shaped line to side of jar and some staining.
