Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / Parkersburg, W.V.," circa 1880, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and tall flaring collar, featuring large A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling between bands of geometric stenciled designs. Decorated below with a stenciled "6" embellished with geometric designs. Excellent size, form, and color. Small chips to inner rim where a lid would rest. 1/2" in-the-firing stone ping on reverse, which is glazed over. Circular crack on underside, also visible on interior, probably caused when used as a churn.
