Unusual Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Profuse Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cobalt two-stemmed clover plant on the front and reverse. Cobalt dashes under each handle and highlights to the handle terminals. Some tight lines to base area and an inverted L-shaped line to side.
