Unusual Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Freehand Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a brushed design of an open-petaled tulip with freehand stripes above and below. Thin sealed spider cracks throughout. In-the-firing chip to top of spout. Chip to side of handle. Small salt drip to right side of jug.
