One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Southeastern PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base and elaborate rim molding, decorated around the body with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower decoration design. Brushed leaves or flowers around collar and stripes along the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A small in-the-firing base chip and a small post-firing base chip. A thin 3/4" in-the-firing chip to body. In-the-firing recessed contact mark on side of pitcher. A thin crack and chip in lower handle terminal. A small rim chip.
