Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, ovoid pitcher with squat-shaped body, footed base, and tooled collar, decorated around the body with a heavily-brushed stem with leaves and tulips. Collar decorated with brushed chainlinks. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent form with early, thin-walled construction. Heavy chipping to base. Restoration to spout. Two minor nicks to top of rim.
