Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, squat-shaped, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated with a brushed fan-shaped floral design extending around the body. Spout decorated with inverted swags. Collar decorated with hanging flowers. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Appealing form. A few base chips, one of which is glazed over. A glazed-over flake to side of handle.
