One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1820, ovoid jar with footed base, rounded rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed foliate drape design with circular flower blossoms. Provenance: Found decades ago in the northeastern U.S. Long horizontal T-shaped crack at base, part of which extends across underside and 1" up reverse side of jar. Two minor chips to one handle.
