Very Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chamberpot, attributed to William Morgan, possibly with Thomas Amoss, Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, ovoid form with footed base, thin rim, and applied strap handle, decorated with a slip-trailed design of six daisy blossoms interspersed with foliate accents. Few chamberpots are known by this desirable early Baltimore maker. Provenance: Found decades ago in the northeastern U.S. Broken into pieces and reglued. Two rim chips, measuring 1 3/8" and 1", along with a minor rim nick where handle meets rim. A small base chip. Chamberpot is out-of-round. H 6 1/2".
