One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to William Morgan, possibly with Thomas Amoss, Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, ovoid jar with rounded rim and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed garland with central daisy. Provenance: Found decades ago in the northeastern U.S. Hairlines in underside, continuing onto base area in three places. Large in-the-firing clay separations on interior, not visible on exterior. 1 5/8" rim chip.
