One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SOMERSET POTTERS WORKS.," Massachusetts origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed double-blossomed tulip motif. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Some staining. A chip on interior of rim. A minor base chip.
