One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "SATTERLEE & MORY / FORT EDWARD, NY", circa 1865, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with long tail, perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A 1" x 1/2" shallow spout chip beside a small spout chip. Base chips including a 1 3/8" flake to underside at edge. In-the-firing stone ping to bird's wing. Some staining. A small chip to lower handle terminal. A 1" and 3/4" cluster of lines to reverse and right side of jug.
