One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON NY," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird with spotted wing and striped breast, perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A few base chips. Light surface wear to handles. Some light fry to cobalt. Some light staining.
