Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Bird and Flowering Vine Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with thick, semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an artistic slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird with turned head and well-detailed body, perched on a flowering branch. Some shallow chipping to both handles. Minor rim wear. Some staining.
