One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing contact mark at base.
