Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, a cylindrical jar with flared rim and salt-glazed line, decorated with two tulips below a freehand cobalt "1", paired with a cylindrical crock with cobalt tulip decoration. Lidded jar with some small spots of fry to cobalt, a shallow chip on interior of rim, and two minor chips to lid. Crock in very nice condition with a faint Y-shaped hairline on underside and a shalllow chip on top of rim.
