Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, fourth quarter 19th century, a one-gallon bowl with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "SIPE & SONS / WILLIAMSPORT, PA", paired with a two-gallon lidded jar with cobalt bird decoration, attributed to the Fulper Bros. Pottery, Flemington, NJ. Bowl with hairline extending across underside and partway up reverse, as well as an 8 1/2" reglued piece at rim. Bird jar with heavy chipping to rim, exfoliation to base, a T-shaped line at base extending onto underside, other glazed-over lines emanating from base. Lid to bird jar not original to jar.
