Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, attributed to Flack & Van Arsdale, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. A 1 1/8" section of two conjoined shallow chips at base on reverse. A few spout chips. A small, lightly-exfoliated area on left side of jug's shoulder. Some light fry to cobalt. Some light staining.
