Two Pieces of New England Redware, 19th century, a jug with tooled shoulder and flared spout, covered in a heavy lead-and-manganese glaze, paired with a cylindrical jar, decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze, and pencil inscription, "C. Weit", on underside. Jug with rim and handle wear, including significant wear to juncture of handle and spout (probably in-the-firing), as well as an in-the-firing unglazed contact mark to side, some small base chips, and light wear to surface. Jar with wear to surface, glaze wear to rim, and two short hairlines extending from rim to shoulder. H (of jug) 10 1/2".
