Rare Copper-Glazed Redware Colander, probably New England, first half 19th century, bowl-shaped form with tooled shoulder, applied handle, and pierced underside, the exterior surface covered in a streaky greenish copper glaze, the interior covered in a clear lead glaze with spotted clay. Excellent form and color. Some expected wear to interior base. Some light surface wear to shoulder, rim, and handle. H 4 1/4" ; Diameter 9 1/2".
