One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Haphazard Amber Decoration, Massachusetts origin, late 18th or early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, the body of the jar decorated with visually-appealing streaks of amber-colored slip, either salted Albany slip or iron oxide. A minor rim nick. Minor chipping to base, most of which is glazed over. 7" horizontal Y-shaped line to body of jar. A minor rim nick.
