Suitland, MD Tanware Advertising Jug, Western PA origin, circa 1880, small-sized, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, featuring the stenciled advertising "S.T. SUIT. / SUITLAND, MD. / LITTLE BROWN JUG / The Whiskey in this Jug / Was Made 1869. / AND JUGGED BY ME / 1879." Several spout chips. Small chips to handle. Glaze smudge to the letter "G" in "JUG". A few minor flakes to body. H 6 3/4".
