Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Cornucopia Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly Ingalls, Taunton, MA, second quarter 19th century, vase-like jar with narrow opening, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cornucopia design bearing stylized flowers. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Small chip to edge on underside and other minor base nicks. Otherwise as-made condition with a 1 1/4" salt drip to reverse, and small in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder on front, and minor in-the-firing flaws.
