Unusual One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, possibly Ohio or Ohio River Valley, mid 19th century, ovoid pitcher with short, flaring collar, decorated on the front, right side, and reverse with an unusual tulip design extending from a leafy stem. Base of design on right side of pitcher includes oval leaves at its base. Reversed "1 1/2" impressed on body. Honey-colored Albany slip on interior. Professionally-restored handle. Area of restoration on left side of pitcher. Rim chips. Glazed-over 1 3/8" base chip to front. Other small base chips. 1 1/2" line at base on side of pitcher.
