Four Midwestern Stoneware Vessels with Cobalt Capacity Marks, fourth quarter 19th century, two six-gallon churns with slip-trailed "bee stinger" decorations; a four-gallon jug with "bee stinger" decoration; and a three-gallon jug with script "3" underscored by flourish, and several turkey droppings to shoulder. One six-gallon churn in excellent, essentially as-made condition with some fry to cobalt. Other six-gallon churn in excellent condition with small rim chips. Four-gallon jug in essentially as-made condition with two glazed-over chips on interior of rim, some fry to cobalt, and some staining. Three-gallon jug with a spout chip and some minor fry to cobalt.
