Three Northeastern U.S. Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, second half 19th century, a three-gallon jar with abstract slip-trailed foliate design, stamped "UNION POTTERY, / J. ZIPF, PROp. / NEWARK, N.J."; a two-gallon crock with slip-trailed foliate design, stamped "W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON, N.Y.,"; and a two-gallon crock with brushed leaf design, stamepd "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE, N.Y". Union Pottery jar with significant exfoliation, a large chip to exterior of rim, and chipping to interior of rim area. Roberts crock with large inverted Y-shaped crack from rim, a large chip, to one handle, and a small chip to opposite handle. Caire crock with large restored piece at base on reverse with large crack extending off of it, an additional thin 3" crack from rim, and a few chips and nicks to rim.
