Unusual Glazed Redware Spittoon with Coggled Decoration, possibly Jacob Heart, Chambersburg, PA, circa 1840, with bulbous body and flared rim with coggled sawtooth decoration, the surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Rim chips, primarily on underside of rim. Significant restoration to base. Restoration to top extending from opening. H 4 7/8" ; Diameter 8 1/2".
