Three "WHITES UTICA" Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, New York State origin, third quarter 19th century, a one-gallon jug with brushed flowering plant design; a one-gallon jug with slip-trailed, two-stemmed flowering plant; and a two-gallon jug with large slip-trailed floral design. One-gallon jug with brushed decoration in essentially as-made condition with a contact mark near base on front and a stone ping at base on reverse. Slip-trailed one-gallon jug in essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing chip to side. Two-gallon jug with some fry to cobalt, a chip to bottom edge of spout, two small chips to interior of spout, a glazed-over base chip, and the red crayon inscription "4" on side and "4.00" on underside.
