Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Old Bridge, NJ origin, circa 1820, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled spout, and ribbed handle, the front decorated with a large incised and cobalt-highlighted flower hanging from a stem with heavily-veined leaves. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Approximately 7" long, tight spider crack from spout on right side of jug. Large sealed spider crack at base, part of which extends a few inches onto underside. Faint hairline extending partway through handle. Several base chips.
